Tutee: Soojin
For today's session, we worked on Soojin's speaking skills. I found two interesting topics for us to talk about. I found a video on YouTube about the drinking age debate in America and an article about the debate over legalizing marijuana. For the YouTube video, we watched it together and afterwords discussed what we thought about the video. We also talked about the drinking age in Korea and it was interesting to learn about it from Soojin. I had prepared some questions beforehand for Soojin. I asked what she thought about the video and what she thinks the pros and cons are. During her responses, I took note of any grammar or speaking mistakes that she made and we briefly went over them. Soojin is a very good speaker, so she didn't make too many mistakes and her pronunciation is very good. I think that for our future sessions, we are going to primarily work on more advanced vocabulary and verbs so that she can have more advanced conversations and this will hopefully help her in advancing her career in the food industry.
