Tutee: Soojin
Before today's session, Soojin emailed me and asked if we could work on learning more advanced and specific verbs and vocabulary related to food. Because her degree is in the culinary field and she enjoys cooking, she wanted to learn specific verbs related to cooking. This was great for me because I enjoy cooking as well! At the beginning of the session, we watched a YouTube video in a similar format as the previous one, but it was about the vaccine debate. Afterwards, we discussed. Next, I found a list online of common cooking terms such as boil, grill, mince, beat, etc. and we discussed the meaning of them and I provided example sentences. I typed them all up on a word document and sent them to Soojin after the session. For the next session, I will try to find more cooking verbs and vocabulary as well as other more advanced ones.
