Tutee: Soojin

During this session, we worked on phrasal verbs again. However, I decided to start the session with a discussion of a topic so that we weren't just going through a list of words the entire time. I played an interesting and YouTube video from the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. The video was about gun control and Australia's response to a mass shooting. Afterwards, Soojin and I discussed our thoughts on the video. I thought that the video was helpful as well because it featured Australian accents which can be difficult to understand. After the video, we continued on with phrasal verbs such as "end up," "rely on," and "to fall behind." We also, per Soojin's request, went over the different uses of the verbs "to have," "to take," and "to get." Again, I typed these in a word document and I sent it to her after class.
