Topic/Skill: Clothing
Session / Lesson I learned: We had a tight schedule and were not able to do a full class so we did not get to do much practice. We reviewed types of clothing from a chart I had set up with 12 different clothing items and I had Ye-won draw out each clothing type as to make flash cards. I asked her to write out the words also but I think do to time she focused on drawing the item I was teaching her first. I realized that Ye-won is very quick to learn and understand words but lacks in writing. In the power point I prepared, I also outlined major clothing items which was in line with the story I had prepared to read to her. (https://princess.disney.com/rapunzels-story). Her favorite princess is Rapunzel so I wanted something which would keep her attention. Before reading the story I went over the power point as a form of schema building. I realized it would have been better to be done after the reading since I went over clothing items with her beforehand already. Also, Since last time she had a good time with the flash cards, next time I want to spend more time in making them and practicing her writing skills.
