Ahmed and I met over Zoom again and I asked him how his classes were going and how he was spending his time in Saudi Arabia. He said he was anxious to finish his CIES classes because the time difference infringes on him being able to spend time with his friends, as it is very common for many people in his small beach town to stay up late and play soccer and enjoy each other’s company. We talked a little bit about my passion in anthropology and museums which brought up topics like Ahmed’s trip to Egypt a few years ago, somewhere I would love to visit. Ahmed expressed too that he would love to visit Lebanon, which is where my father is from and his whole family is there as well.
