On July 15th, Dave and I met over Zoom where I had created a lesson about prepositions. I began by showing all 8 parts of speech which Dave was familiar with already. Then I asked him to list prepositions before I pulled up the worksheet about commuting I had found online. It involved fill-in-the-blank exercises which Dave did almost perfectly. Some areas of improvement were when to use “on foot” and “by foot.” Then, the last exercise of the day was introducing new vocabulary about cars. The worksheet had an area where you had to match the car part to its corresponding place on the car. Dave knew most of them but I had to teach him some unfamiliar words like “bumper.” We ended the lesson by giving examples like “Don’t sit on the hood.”
