Naomi TS #9

On August 3rd, in our ninth tutoring session, Je-ah and I went over prepositions of place. This was a really good lesson. I felt that the vocabulary was on level and it gave me the opportunity to slowly incorporate full sentences. For this lesson, we used hand signs to learn the prepositions and this worked wonderfully. It kept Je-ah's attention and was a great learning method. In the activity, I had Je-ah do a true or false, fill in the blank, and try to create her own sentences. I will incorporate more hands-on activities in the next lessons because they seem to really help Je-ah. In the next lesson, I will also go over the form for the sentences. I tried to do it in this lesson but I did not have enough grammar knowledge to be able to teach her it well enough. I will do more research for the next lesson to help her form complete sentences with the prepositions.
