This lesson I wanted to make fun but so when we met on August 6th, I decided to do some Mad Libs! I found a virtual Mad Libs and also explained to him what actual Mad Libs looked like in physical form and how it’s supposed to be a silly game for younger kids. We did three Mad Libs in total and it took him at least one to catch on why you had to pick a different part of speech and for what reason. After reading our first Mad Lib we created together, he had a good laugh and did the second and third one himself. He thoroughly enjoyed them and seemed to really come out of his shell during this lesson and that made me feel accomplished in how his abilities have grown!
