I met with Dave over Zoom on July 24th and began a new tradition! I had recently done a virtual field trip with a local non-profit I’ve been working with for 2 years. The National Park Services developed high quality virtual tours of six National Parks. I asked Dave what he knew about National Parks and explained their concept and history in the US as well as forest rangers (as the tours are led by rangers). Dave chose to explore the Hawaii Volcanoes National Parks and we defined volcanoes and magma. Dave seemed to enjoy seeing the views of a different state and learning new things and I was glad to be a part of it!
