Alice TS#11

I met Alessandra on July 10, the tutoring session was focused on speaking, so I introduced an activity called "That special book". Alessandra loves reading so I asked her what book had the most influence on her life. I let her reply to my question, and in the meanwhile I was taking notes on her speaking. I gave her feedback, and we reviewed some patterns in her mistakes, for example she said "persons' instead of "people" couple of times. After this first activity I introduced an other activity on debate, I asked her to call out in English as many visual art forms as she could think of. I also gave her the English definition of 'art form', and she started listing as many words as she could think of, for example 'painting', 'photography', etc. We started a short debate, I argued on purpose about her examples of art forms, and she tried to protect her own opinions stating her thesis. It was a really good session, I used topics that I knew where interesting for Alessandra, and that helped her boost her motivation to keep learning English.
