Alice TS#10

I met my tutee, Alessandra, on June 30. She is from my same home town, in Italy, and I met her few years ago while I was visiting my family. I knew she was interested in practising and learning English so when I started the TEFL course I asked her if she was interested in having tutoring sessions with me so I could practice my teaching skills. She accepted my offer, and we started meeting each other once a week. She has been taking private English lesson with an English teacher for a year, and she wants to practice her speaking skills with me, and also she wants to learn more about the English grammar and vocabulary because she is genuinely interested in learning a new language, she loves travelling, and she would like to use her skills to get access to new information (book, articles, movies, documentaries, career development) around the world. After investigating on her goals and motivation to learn English, I also assessed her skills. I asked her to tell me about her weekend in English, and then I asked her to write down a specific activity that she did during the weekend. From my assessment I could understand that she has a low-intermediate level of English.
