Conversation Partner #1:
For this, I managed to get a hold of Moctar Ouedraogo who is
from Burkina Faso, which is by Ghana along the western coast of the African
continent. Given that this was our first conversation, Moctar and me weren’t
entirely sure what to discuss, so we talked about our homes (he said that one
of the biggest differences was the weather – back home, it would be a lot
hotter now than it is in Tallahassee); I told him that Tallahassee is naturally
beautiful, but in terms of living here, I would prefer to move. We discussed our
favorite scary movies – his was The Nun and I did not have a favorite one, but
one of the most interesting scary movies I’ve seen was Cabin in the Woods.
Moctar has been in Tallahassee for about 6 months. He has been attending TCC
and wants to get into Florida State. He also wants to major in business and
open an import/export business back home in Burkina Faso.
