    Today on Tuesday, June 23 I got to talk with my tutee for the first time face-to-face. Hang ah Kim is incredibly kind and patient and I am very excited to get to work with her. She was born and raised in Korea and she moved to Tallahassee with her husband about four months ago. Due to Covid19 and the statewide closure, her and her husband have not been able to explore the city. So we discussed some of the larger natural parks where they could visit without having to worry about running into alot of people. We talked about some of her favorite books – she told me she read Pride and Prejudice and watched the movie as well and she also read Harry Potter. We were both excited to talk about that. We talked more about our favorite books and discussed different places that her husband and her could visit when they needed to get out of the house. We then discussed our availability – she said that Monday and Wednesdays after 7:30 P.M. would work for her, but we decided that, at least for our next session, that Thursday night at 7:30 P.M. would be best. We also discussed the areas where she felt that she needed improvement and so by Thursday, I will come up with a teaching template on grammar which will focus primarily on prepositions.
